I came across this one on Pinterest sometime in the last week and loved it. And then I read the blog post it came from and loved it some more.
The quote also reminded me of this post from Sarah at Yes and Yes from back in September when there were just 99 days left in the year and what was I going to do with them. I wanted to make progress on the house, get a bit more organized and stress out less. For the most part, those things have been accomplished.
These words also remind me of one of my biggie goals that I'd wanted to make more progress on starting my nonprofit. I struggle with not feeling ready on that, but at the same time I know that this particular goal is one that will require huge amounts of preparation and work before even really starting so that it doesn't turn into a great big mess. It might be a total flop in the end, but that's one thing that I want to go into prepared. Not necessarily ready, but prepared. If it all goes how I hope, it will affect far more people than just myself and that deserves my best foot forward, though I know that once I jump off that cliff, I'll be back in my sink or swim mode. Here's to hoping I can swim!
What kinds of things have you put off until you felt ready? What kinds of things have you jumped into before feeling ready? How'd it go? What did you learn about yourself?
