M has been plugging away at the 3D model to figure out our plan and account for my wildly varying style preferences. At one point, we tried putting paint on the wall, in the model, and I chose a deep blue. Against the white shelving and planks, it looked very nautical or Virginia like and not very rustic.
M pointed that out I said, "Well, I like it."
M: "Of course you do, you're from Virginia."
So we came up with the idea to use a piece of salvaged barn wood M found in the shop with the hooks to carry the rustic list through the house. We added a wall of shelves next to the bench and I'm pretty excited about that.
Here's what the plan looks like now:
I really like this one from House of Antique Hardware, but it's way too pricey. Like $44 per hook pricey. And we need about eight, so that's a no go. But isn't it lovely?
Back to the drawing board we go.
This is a cheaper but similar option. Can you tell I like House of Antique Hardware?
What do you guys think? Or do you have ideas for where to find good hardware?
