He came home one night and announced that he had found the perfect house with the best view in town.
He knows how much I love mountains and we've been joking (really only a little bit joking) about building a house actually in the mountains.
On my first visit to Montana to see him last year, we drove along Flathead Lake and found a piece of land for sale with a gorgeous view of the lake and surrounding area. In that moment I was sold on the idea of living in Montana, even though it took me awhile longer to actually move here.
Ever since that day, we've talked about find a house with a lake or mountain view, with space for me to sit with a book and cup of coffee. It's really the simple things in life.
So when he promised a house with a view, I knew he was serious. He did apologize for the lack of lake though.
It was pretty cloudy and windy the day we walked the property and I snapped this photo, but even with the clouds, you can't beat this view in our area. On a clear day, you can see mountains on three sides and our property backs up to a wildlife refuge.
Seriously, does it get any better?
Given my love of mountains, you can see how a view like this was a major selling point for me.
Next, you'll get views of the house...the good, the bad and the ugly.
But I always get to look out the window and see this.
